NEPT was established in 2015 to consolidate various educational initiatives aimed at enhancing primary education in Tanzania. The organization was founded by Natang’aduaki Z Mollel, with the support and commitment of Maasai elders, the Tanzania government, and the wider community.
The Ngorongoro Education Project Tanzania (NEPT) is a UK-registered charity (No. 1160089) dedicated to empowering Maasai children in Loliondo through quality education, working hand-in-hand with Tanzanian government officials, village chiefs, and communities to create sustainable, inclusive solutions. As a non-political, non-commercial organization rooted in Christian values yet secular in practice, NEPT focuses on improving access to education, teacher training, and infrastructure—transforming lives while respecting local traditions.

We implement various initiatives to improve education and living conditions for Maasai children in Tanzania
Sponsoring children from remote areas to attend school, including providing boarding accommodation.
Construction and refurbishment of classrooms, libraries, and provision of essential school resources.
Programs to train, support, and motivate teachers with modern teaching methods.
Improving living conditions and promoting health education in schools.
Construction of playgrounds to promote learning through play and improve child behavior.
Provision of food at schools and development of sustainable farming solutions.
