NEPT’s Health & Wellbeing Project: Safeguarding Maasai Children’s Lives

NEPT is transforming the living conditions of Maasai children by tackling a silent crisis: indoor air pollution. Traditional mud houses, often filled with smoke from open fires, cause severe respiratory illnesses. Our innovative solution? Installing brick ovens with chimneys—simple yet life-changing technology that vents harmful smoke outside. Alongside this, we promote health education and hygiene practices in schools, teaching children and families how to prevent disease. By combining practical interventions with education, we’re reducing smoke-related health risks and fostering long-term wellbeing. This project not only saves lives but also empowers communities with sustainable, healthier living solutions. Together, we’re building a brighter, breathable future.
